Third-year medical students partnered with the state’s only women’s prison to implement the first infant and child CPR/choking response training for incarcerated mothers and caregivers. Grounded in clinical continuity from prenatal care to pediatrics, this initiative addressed gaps in health education, increased caregiver confidence, and demonstrates the power of connection in advancing maternal–child health in carceral settings.
