Black birthing people in Colorado face disproportionately high rates of severe maternal morbidity, including life-threatening complications like eclampsia and organ failure. This session shares a first-of-its-kind statewide analysis, highlighting preventable gaps, structural inequities, and family impacts. We explore equity-driven strategies, bias-informed protocols, early-warning systems, and family-centered supports that connect data, practice, and community to transform maternal health.
