Dr. Meagan (Robinson) Maynor has more than 15 years of experience in public health and state government. She is currently a Senior Manager for Epidemiology, Evaluation and Metrics at the Association for Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP). Prior to starting at AMCHP, Dr. Maynor was the Director of the Division of Population Health Data at the Virginia Department of Health, where she oversaw epidemiology and evaluation efforts for the Office of Family Health Services, population-based surveillance surveys, and registries. Prior to this role, she served as the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Epidemiologist Lead, performing analysis and guiding data-informed decisions for programs in Virginia’s MCH portforlio, including the Title V MCH Block Grant, State Systems Development Initiative (SSDI), Virginia Neonatal Perinatal Collaboritive (VNPC), newborn screening and birth defects surveillance, Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN), perinatal and reproductive health, adolescent health, home-visiting, and oral health. She also served as an epidemiologist and program evaluator at the Mississippi State Department of Health for Mississippi’s Title V MCH Block Grant, SSDI, Mississippi Perinatal Quality Collaborative (MSPQC), Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program, Asthma Program, and Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS). Dr. Maynor completed her DrPH and MPH at Jackson State University in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and received her Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences from Mississippi State University. She was named to the de Beaumont Foundation’s 2021 40 Under 40 in Public Health, and received the 2020 Award for Early Career Professional Achievement from the Coalition for Excellence in MCH Epidemiology.
