Justin is a Senior Analyst with AMCHP's Policy Impact team. He has worked to support the partnerships between AMCHP and the National Birth Defects Prevention Network and MotherToBaby; has developed or is contributing to tools and resources for improving referrals processes, housing policy, heart disease, SET-NET, and systems thinking; and is the staff regional liaison to Regions 6 and sometimes 9. Justin has prior experience teaching anatomy to medical students, scribing in an emergency department, and organizing student leaders for volunteer experiences abroad. These experiences helped inform and inspire his master’s project, which focused on evaluating the photographs and reflections of international volunteers for themes of social change and structural violence. Justin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Bachelor of Science in Biology from Arizona State University, and a Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota.
