Soulmaz Rostami serves as the Program Manager of the Pacific Public Health Fellowship Program, at PIHOA (Pacific Island Health Officers Association).
Based in PIHOA’s Field Office in Guam, her work focuses on building local capacity across Pacific Island Jurisdictions to strengthen the public health workforce pipeline across the U.S. Affiliated Pacific Islands of Guam, American Samoa, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau.
With over 20 years of local, national, and global public health experience, her expertise has led her to work across Australasia and the Pacific, to design, implement, and evaluate health programs spanning maternal and child health, communicable and non-communicable diseases, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, sexual health, women’s health, diabetes, cancer prevention, infectious diseases, and brain health across the life course, and health program evaluation.
Outside of work, her greatest love is her family and two sons. She also appreciates a good cup of coffee, is a die-hard Rugby League fan, and struggles to keep indoor plants alive.
