Epidemiologist
Maryland Department of Health
Beverly Amofah, DrPH, is an Epidemiologist with the Maryland Department of Health’s Bureau of Maternal Child Health. With over a decade of dedicated public health experience, including specialized work in infectious disease surveillance and control and currently maternal child health, she holds a Doctor of Public Health degree with a concentration in Epidemiology. In her current role, she leads and manages data-driven projects that are specifically designed to address and improve health outcomes for some of Maryland's most marginalized and vulnerable populations. A primary focus of her current work is centered on highlighting data on the well-being and health service access for children and youth who have specific, often complex, health care needs. Her contributions leverage robust data analysis to inform programmatic decisions, ensuring that public health interventions are effective, targeted, and sustainable.
