Deputy Director, Maternal & Infant Health

I serve as the Director of Maternal and Infant Health at the Tennessee Department of Health, where I provide strategic leadership for statewide initiatives focused on improving outcomes for women, infants, and families. I oversee a diverse portfolio of federal and state programs, including maternal health innovation, maternal mortality review, newborn screening, family planning, and rural health transformation efforts.
With more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit and governmental public health, my work centers on advancing sustainable, systems-level change through data-informed policy, cross-sector collaboration, and effective public administration. I manage multimillion-dollar grant portfolios, contribute to legislative and fiscal analysis, and support implementation strategies aimed at reducing maternal and infant mortality and addressing persistent disparities.
I hold a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management, a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration. I am committed to strengthening public systems to improve maternal and infant health outcomes across Tennessee.
