Asan Hawkins, MPH, is a CSTE Applied Epidemiology Fellow at the Illinois Department of Public Health. She earned a Master of Public Health in Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, along with a certification in Pharmacoepidemiology. Asan currently works in the Division of Maternal and Child Health on the Data and Epidemiology Team, where she supports state epidemiologists in surveillance, evaluation, and data analytics. Her professional interests include perinatal health, child and adolescent health, data equity, and health equity overall.
