Paulina S. Lim, PhD, is a postdoctoral scholar at the University of California, Irvine Center on Stress & Health, where she conducts research at the intersection of pediatric psychology, health equity, and mental health. She earned her doctorate in psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and completed her residency at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital. Dr. Lim’s research focuses on the experiences of families navigating complex medical systems, particularly those from immigrant and linguistically diverse backgrounds. She has co-authored over 15 peer-reviewed publications, including work on pediatric health outcomes associated with language barriers in clinical care. Dr. Lim’s work integrates mixed methods and community-engaged methods to inform culturally responsive, trauma-informed care models. She is committed to advancing research that addresses systemic disparities and promotes mental health equity for immigrant and minoritized families.
