Surveillance Coordinator

Ms. Delgado is an Epidemiologist serving as the Surveillance for Emerging Threats to Mothers and Babies (SETMB) in Puerto Rico Coordinator under the Children with Special Medical Needs Division of the Puerto Rico Health Department. She was designated as SARS-Cov-2 Case Surveillance Coordinator on the Pandemic Response Emergency Team in the Puerto Rico Department of Health. Since 2017, she served as the Zika Active Pregnancy Surveillance System Coordinator until the system expanded into the SETMB.
She earned her Master’s in Public Health with concentration in Epidemiology from the University of Puerto Rico in 2016 and her Bachelor of Science in Biology with concentration in Pre-veterinary Studies from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in 2015. She has co-authored various reports on Zika and SARS-Cov-2 included as part of the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Reports and was part of the team who was awarded the 2019 NBDPN State Leadership Award.
