Frank Smith is the Lead for Data Architecture and Business Intelligence at the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH). In this role, Frank ensures ASPPH has the infrastructure and resources needed to deliver high quality data to our stakeholders. Frank leads the implementation and continuous improvement of the ASPPH Data Governance Program. He works closely with ASPPH members to ensure they have access to the data they need, and the skills to use it, to advance academic public health and the public health workforce.
Prior to joining ASPPH, Frank worked in higher education and institutional research for over 15 years. Frank has presented at multiple institutional research and academic public health conferences. He loves learning about new ways to leverage data. Frank is excited for a future where machines perform all of the hard labor involving data, providing humans with more time to thoughtfully contemplate their meaning and use them to improve the world around them.
