Lauren Spigel, MPH, is a PhD candidate in Maternal and Child Health at the University of North Carolina, a Senior Research Specialist at Ariadne Labs, and a recipient of the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award for Predoctoral Fellows. Her work aims to bridge the gap between knowledge and practice to ensure that every pregnant and birthing individual experiences high quality, respectful, and dignified care, no matter who they are or where they live. Lauren holds a Master in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland.
