(B-5) Data Visualization as a Tool for Connection

This presentation reports the first study examining depression screening exclusively among Vietnamese American adolescents. Analysis of 284 adolescents in Orange County found significant language disparities: Vietnamese-speaking households had twice the positive screening rates (29.9% vs. 15.1%). Findings reveal critical cultural factors affecting mental health outcomes and implications for culturally responsive practices.
